We will always have the poor in the land.
Poverty is a chronic global social problem, which has existed since time immemorial. It is one of man’s worst enemies, which, in turn creates other social problems, such as homelessness, crime, vice, etc. And like all threats to humanity, we must resist poverty at all costs.
Poverty is a very complex social problem caused by a very wide variety of causes, natural as well as man-made. One of the most effective tool with which we can fight poverty is to create sustainable and rewarding work, wherever possible. Teach the jobless how to create their own work, rather than rely on an employer, a fallible fellow human being to hire and pay them.
Work is an inseparable part and parcel of life. There will always be work to be done as long as life on this planet shall last. As long as they are unmet or under-met needs and wants. The less developed a country is, the more work there is. Building that country. Getting as many citizens involved.
Throughout human history, societies world-wide have been trying unsuccessfully to fight poverty or to prevent it by whatever means at their disposal. That is what most economic activity is all about.
Creating work is not rocket science. It does not require any qualifications. All it requires is the will to survive and to avoid suffering.
Our bodies were fearfully and wonderfully designed for work. Ordinary people like you and me Create Work. It does not create itself.
